Fighting Foodons, known in Japan as Bistro Recipe, is a Japanese manga series written by Shuntarō Ashida and illustrated by Naoto Tsushima, serialized in Comic BonBon from September 1999 to September 2000. It was adapted into an anime television series that aired on NHK-BS2 from December 11, 2001, to June 25, 2002, and later dubbed into English by 4Kids Entertainment in cooperation with Enoki Films, airing on FoxBox from September 14, 2002, to August 30, 2003. The series centers on a world where magical Meal Tickets turn food into monsters called Fighting Foodons, used in culinary combat.

The Glutton Empire, led by King Gorgeous Gorge, plots world domination by kidnapping chefs to create evil Foodons. The protagonist, Chase (Zen Makunouchi), a 10-year-old chef-in-training, seeks to become an Elite Master Chef like his father Chef Jack, battling King Gorge's Big 4 and his cat-like servant Clawdia. Chase is joined by his sister Kayla, the Grub Guru Oslo, and friends Pie Tin, Coco, and Albert.
