Beastieball is a video game that blends monster collecting with sports, developed by Wishes Unlimited and published by Klei Entertainment. Players take on the role of a coach, traveling the world to find creatures called Beasties and recruit them for a volleyball-like sport. The goal is to build a team strong enough to compete in a tournament. The game launched in early access for Windows on November 12, 2024.
In the game, players explore to sign Beasties and aim to defeat eight ranked coaches. During matches, two Beasties play on the field while three wait on the sidelines. Each turn allows three actions, such as passing or repositioning, before the ball is sent to the opponent's side. Beasties take damage when hit, with the amount depending on their distance from the net. A match ends when one team is completely knocked out or reaches a set number of points. As Beasties build bonds with each other, they unlock new special abilities that aid in matches.
